Original UK Yamaha RD250 with 2, 200 miles from new. This bike has been with a long term first owner and then in collections. If you search Youtube for “Two Stroke Tearaways” you will see a video road test of this very bike against the GT250 and KH250 where it came out on top. It starts very easily and runs just like you’d expect a 2, 000 mile bike to run. I’ve put around 500 miles on it since I got it 5 years ago and it always puts a big smile on my face and I’m 17 again. When I got it, it still had the original tyres fitted and I fitted new Dunlop tyres and tubes because I wanted to be able to ride it. The only thing about it that’s non-original is at some point it’s had the tank lined and repainted. The only other bad point is a couple of paint chips on the left hand side panel which I’ve photographed. It even has the original front number plate and underneath the rear number plate which is held on with double-sided tape is the original supplying dealer’s number plate which was riveted in place and remains there. Find another one!
