Description
I bought this car on my birthday back in 2012 and I’ve loved it ever since. One of the last e46s made, with the renowned 3. 0 M54 six cylinder engine with a manual gearbox and facelift M Sport body and lights. The car is finished silver grey, the same colour used on the E46 M3 CSL and also comes with a host of options including Alcantara M Sport interior, electric memory seats, cruise control, climate control, auto lights, auto wipers, one touch windows, auto dipping mirrors, parking sensors, abs, traction control. The car has a full service record (see pics) and has been very well cared for over the years.
Bad bits: The car is a 2005 model and so has so has some fading on the nose badge, etc. The notorious e46 rusty arches will need attention and there are some other smaller areas of rust spots around the car.
Drives well for the mileage and everything works, engine runs beautifully though it does (as they are know to) use a bit of oil so I tend to keep it topped up.
Main issue is the bonnet catch wire doesn’t pull enough - seems like it’s stretched over time so needs to be pull further to release the bonnet. I
There a video on YouTube showing how to replace it. Doesn’t look like a big job but I’ve just been too busy to look into it. I may replace it over the next few weeks if I get a moment.
MOT is valid until July.
Would love it to go to someone who might be interested in restoring it as it’s a beautiful car that I have cherished owning. Aside from the rust it’s in very good shape.
Mileage is high but are from generally sitting on cruise between 95% Reading and Leicestershire, and even commuting between Leicestershire and Norfolk(!) when I was commuting at weekends for many years.
Any questions, feel free to get in touch. The best engine, the best body, the best colour, and it’s a manual. It’s been my main car for 13 years.
