Just two owners and the bike is both MOT and Tax exempt, as registered as a historic vehicle. The bike was imported from the USA in 1997 with paperwork to prove this. V5 present and in my name.
I purchased this bike in 2022 as a fun restoration project. Since then I have had the frame powder coated and the tank, side panels and fenders resprayed white with original decals. All work professionally carried out by local specialists.
I have also sourced a number of original parts and to my knowledge is 100% complete now. Parts include (in no particular order) two new tyres, new number plate, ignition switch/ keys (original present), new seat cover, new battery cover (like hen's teeth), new indicators, fuel filter, spark plug, new levers, used rear inner mudguard (hard to find), front brake level bracket, new OS Honda handlebar grips, new OS tool box with retaining band, new choke cable, new fork seals (fitted) and lastly new wheel bearings (front and rear).
The bike runs great with a nice note from the Supertrapp exhaust, but no work was undertaken to the engine other than the carb had a professional ultrasound clean. Very slight oil drip from drive shaft seal when engine is hot. A great looking bike looking almost new and is very clean. I think it looks best in this rare white colour, over the common red variant.
A great classic thumper that is much easier to kick over than it's 500cc big brother.
Will look good as part of a collection or to be seen out on the roads, exploring country lanes.
