Description
Priced to sell quickly!
124000 miles. Will increase over time, being used as daily driver for commuting.
Pulls strong. Overall decent cosmetic condition. Not perfect but pretty good for a 20+ year old Jag. Headliner is sagging, haven't had time to fix. Some small bubbling on rear left arch (not noticeable unless pointed out).
MOT expires 14/ 05/ 2025.
Mot history fairly clean (last one only required tyres) and some paperwork from previous owners. Part service history. (Coolant, oil and brake fluid all clean and right amounts).
Looking to sell as I want a more sensible car / change of circumstances. Gearbox and engine work nicely as expected. Good tyres all round. Brake discs and pads look to have good amount left.
Alloy wheels could do with refurbishment.
The sunglasses holder does not remain shut, but I have the relevant parts, just haven't managed to swap them out yet.
There is a scuff on the nearside front bumper, which has had colour matched paint put over the top - it is not perfect, but only noticeable when pointed out.
There are other small paint chips as to be expected on a 20+ year old car.
There is some superficial rust just showing through on the tip of the front passenger door.
Priced to sell. This car, is ridiculous. It is over 20 years old, but it still goes like the clappers. It's ability to hold level in corners and round them like it's on rails is astounding. Yet at the same time it does not encourage you to drive quickly, and it is still very, very comfortable (my previous car was a Lexus LS430 and I would say the ride quality is suprisingly close to an LS430, given that it's not on air suspension).
Fuel wise, driving with a heavy right foot would get me around 17 to 19 mpg, whereas driving sensibly over longer journeys typically returns between 24 to 28 mpg.
Overall, this car is brilliant, and I am glad to have owned it, and will be sad to see it go.
Top gear commented on the looks of this car, when they first came out, and they were not complementary, and at the time, I agreed. However, 20 years later I would say that it has aged impeccably well and I now enjoy looking back at it whilst walking away having parked.
