Description
2004 54 plate Passat Estate 1. 9 TDI Sport PD130 6 speed
Nordic green paintwork
M. O. T. to 8th September 2025
Huge file of history - regular servicing each year
Purchased as a temp workhorse, been a great car, never let myself or the previous owner down (and they owned for 16-17 years!). Still drives/ pulls nicely, has the 6 speed gearbox (1st into 2nd gear can sometimes be a little stiff when cold, but easy to get used too). Does still drive well given the miles, and totally reliable, wouldn’t hesitate to do a long trip.
Cassette/ radio/ CD changer (original VW system), original 16” alloys (some centre caps missing but do have a set ready to be fitted), roof rails, electric windows (don’t think the passenger window works), parcel shelf in boot, climate control and spare wheel.
Rust free arches and good condition sills (rare for one of these). Bulletproof PD engine, they don’t make them like this anymore.
Interior complete and free of any major wear, the glovebox handle can sometimes come loose but has been retained so you can open and close the glovebox (should be a simple fix). Has carpet mats in the front and back, plus load shelf.
Very well cared for example, previous owner purchased from a VW dealer (still retains dealer number plates) at 32, 571 miles when car was around 3 years old. The original purchase receipt is here in the history file.
The mileage was generally covered on long distance motorway runs from one end of the country to the other. Car lived in the south of England until late 2019, was kept garaged overnight, and has generally been really well cared for by a very meticulous owner who liked everything to be just so. There are 18 services with receipts. Booklet also stamped until more recently when space ran out, but receipts still kept. Every bill, every invoice, M. O. T’s, purchase documents all here with two original keys.
Last serviced 5k ago at 189/ 190K. Front tyres replaced around the same time. I think the rears were also done not long before this. Advisories generally have been replaced each year (with proof). Front and rear discs 13. 9. 23
M. O. T. to 8. 9. 25, advisory on the upper arms replaced 18. 9. 24
30. 8. 24 = both rear brake pipes replaced
Would make a practical workhorse or an honest family car.
One day a well cared for example like this one (with rust free wings etc) will be a classic, but for now will make a good older estate car for someone in the meantime. Great car to use day to day.
Returns 50 mpg
