Description

bought this lovely Stag 4 years ago & my plan was to keep it in my garage but there's not quite enough room. I had lots of plans to use it this year but haven't been able to get around to it due to work.
I've done quite a bit of work to it myself. I don't really want to sell it & only will let it go if I can get back what I paid plus the cost of a few additional parts I've fitted.
I've fitted brand new front brake pads & shims & breathable cam cover. I also bought 4 original Stag alloys that I had refurbished and brand new tyres.
I have nearly every receipt for parts & work over it's life. The mileage shows 136000 and I assume this is correct with the car being 50 years old and probably been round the clock. There's also a proper Leyland workshop manual.
The paintwork is excellent apart from a couple of small scratches that haven't changed in the time I've had it & I've just re Wax-oiled the doors & sills The chrome work is good.
The original Triumph 3 litre V8 engine sounds lovely as it has a new twin choke Weber carb 38 and air cleaner to suit, so it starts 1st time and runs perfect. It also has electronic ignition & a Kenlowe fan fitted with adjustable thermostat.
I've checked all the wheel bearings & regreased them & the rear shoes are new.
The engine bay looks good and clean, with & an oil catcher. It has a new hi-torque starter motor.
All bulbs including the headlights are now LED so no dull lights. New fuse holders fitted.
All the brake pipes are copper.
The hood is quite new but I think a little tight with lack of use but works as it should. It also has a hard top to go with it painted same colour as car good condition.
It is Taxed as Historic Vehicle & does not require an MOT although I do have it MOTd annually and the MOT runs till July 25 with no Advisories.
It runs on Unleaded fuel.
Come & have a look but I'll be selling it for what I paid, The old car is in Lovely condition but it's NOT concourse. I do have a box of the original parts. Air filters Carburettor's few other bits, Please ask as many questions as you want, If you're reading this then YES it's still for sale, it says on the V5 that the car is mine, £15. 000 ONO Please note that I've put the car away for the winter so will need at least a day to get it out of lock up
