Description
For sale is my 1996 Citroen Saxo VTS.
If you know about these cars, they are absolutely brilliant fun and getting hard to come by in good condition.
The car is completely standard, a priority for me when I started to look around for one.
Once I took ownership of the car, I decided that to send it into main dealer (Evans Halshaw), to have quite a few things carried out.
Without dragging on too much, a list below highlight the cars pro and not so many cons:-
All MAIN DEALER!
• New MOT (no advisories)
• New clutch
• Off-side drop link
• Timing belt & pump
• Engine mount
• Rocker cover reseal
• Major service
• New battery
• New back box
• New coolant flange
+ more…
I have all the receipts (picture). I’ve probably spent close to £2500. 00.
The car, as stated is standard. I still have the original stereo which will come with car and parcel shelf with netting… devoid of 6x9s! Also had the keypad immobiliser!
The spare wheel is still in tact and in really good condition. The interior is also in great condition with no rips or tears.
The car has only had 4 former owners, the first 2 were an elderly couple.
The car had been under sealed at some point in its life, so it’s in pretty good shape.
I have upgraded the head unit to a pioneer which will stay with the car.
The car hasn’t been in accidents so feel free to carry out checks. Everything on the car works as it should.
The bonuses for this car is that is comes with 2 sets of keys and fobs! Plus, genuine low mileage of just over 66k. Amazing mileage got year.
EXTERIOR:
The body work is relatively good condition, for its age. It isn’t perfect so I’ll try and take enough pictures to provide enough evidence to support it. There’s the usual stone chips, trim fade and blemishes.
My plan was too get the car in almost perfect running order and then maybe spend some cash on the exterior, unfortunately, change of financial circumstances has forgone this.
Oh, the alarm was working and suddenly it’s just stopped sounding but the headlights still flash in sync with an activation. Any enthusiast could sort I should imagine but I don’t use it as they’re particularly sensitive.
I just don’t use the car as I work away so much. I would love to enjoy it but it’s not possible. The car drives as it should with great performance. I would suggest some new tyres as they’re showing signs of perishing; due to standing still.
Additionally, parts for these cars are increasingly hard to come by these days - it spent almost 3 weeks in service due to sourcing and waiting for parts to arrive.
Any questions, I’m happy to answer to best of my knowledge. I will also provide a video.
So please; no time wasters, tyre kickers, silly offers… you’ll be ignored or blocked! I’ve priced the car to sell at reasonable price. It’s not a show or concourse standard car so please be mindful.
Thank you.
