1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

Up for sale Is my 1976 silver shadow . I have owned this vehicle for 15 years. It was always a tidy car but anything that has ever gone wrong has been repaired with no expense spared and is now I would say one of the cars that is advertised between 15-30k. This car has been driven and is not like the low mileage examples which are minefield of problems due to lack of use. 94, 000 miles. (The true mileage is probably around 5000 miles higher as the Speedo did not work due to a plastic gear slipping off the gearbox shaft that has now been repaired).

The car has been in Marbella for the last six years and I drove the car back to the UK only recently as I am selling all my classic cars due to personal health issues. The car is used regularly and the fact that I had the confidence to drive it across Europe is a testament of my confidence in the vehicle.

The car had a bare metal respray 11 years ago. Although body work is not concourse it’s extremely good with minor blemishes here and there. There is absolutely no rust on the vehicle.

Now a bit about mechanical side. The car had a new radiator a few years ago, new engine mounts. New ac compressor (aircon blows cold) the rear suspension pump for the suspension was rebuilt. The alternator was reconditioned. The whole break system was cleaned and was full of gunk as r323 oil separates over years. That was repaired by the English Mechanic in Marbella “jock” the TV personality. I have bills and photos. Loads and loads of work has been done over the years. With thousands of pounds spent. I have all the books, mots etc. the gearbox was rebuilt I estimate around 8 years ago by phoenix automatics off scrubs lane in London.

Now about the interior. The wood was relaqeured shortly after I purchased the vehicle and still looks like new all electrics work. The leather has no rips or tears and is in very good condition.

The bumpers were replaced at the same time as the bare metal respray with stainless steel bumpers which will never rust unlike the originals.

I am truly sad that I am selling this car. Actually I’m sad that I’m selling all my cars. They were all bought for my personal enjoyment and never to make money on. I have memories in this car with my wife and three children that I shall never forget.

This is not a perfect car but it’s a car that has been loved used and looked after and is very reliable.

The car comes with 5 new tyres.

Not many shadows like this one. The car has also just had an oil change, oil filter, plugs, alternator belt, power steering belts and brake pads.
