26years ago two brothers began their search for a very rare BMW E30 M3 Cabriolet (1 of 786), a masterpiece of automotive engineering (if you are reading this you probably already know what you are looking at). They explored avenues from local dealerships to auto trader listings (printouts of their searches and comparisons in folder - they were cheaper back then ;).
They ended up in Germany, where they eventually found a pristine 1990 BMW E30 M3 Convertible at a dealership owned by an ex-racing driver - Kelleners BMW where the car was first sold new.
Every step of the purchase and ownership has been meticulously preserved including newspaper listing of this car, flight ticket to Germany (£36. 60), hotel, channel crossing tickets (£8. 28), Natwest transfer receipt, email exchanges, map printouts, phone calls (£12. 41) and petrol logs etc.
The level of provenance that comes with this car is unmatched and a dream for any enthusiast or collector, with over 100 invoices from BMW mail dealers, the car was only worked on by specialists including Munich Legends for servicing and parts.
You also have correspondence with the DVLA for registration. Every year's tax discs, tax reminders, and invoices for every single purchase and service records, creating a comprehensive history of the car (literarily a big box of folders).
The original service booklet (stamped up), manuals and 3 keys - making it an excellent investment with next level history of a car already very very rare.

Scorpion exhaust fitted, sounds great but not drowning. Seats recently refreshed.
Car is mechanically sound and never had an issue with it, all instruments, heating (including seats) in working order. Paintwork is ok with age related wash marks here and there.
Priced sensibly and only one for sale online from what I can see, not in a rush to sell…just could do with the space.
