Description

Built in 1998 on a shortened 1968 Beetle Convertible. It has a rebuilt engine with Twin Weber Carbs, the gearbox is a 4 speed freeway flyer with longer top gear for effortlessly cruising at 70 mph plus. Fitted with disk brakes on the front and Porsche pattern 5 lug studs. It rides on a matching set of Original Porsche Fuchs Wheels with nearly new tyres. Has a full hood with new back window and has removable Perspex side windows as an original Speedster should you get caught in a shower.

This car is painted Satin Black for an “Outlaw” look. I use it as is and it gets more attention than any other car I have owned. A shiny Chesil replica is obviously not original but the look of this one often has people asking is it real ?

Could simply be taken to the next level with a respray and further interior trimming or use it just like this if you don’t mind all the attention it brings.

Registered as a 68 Beetle convertible on the V5 most cost effective way of owning a running driving Speester. Tax and MOT exempt but everything works as it should very reliable starts and stops perfectly.
