6. 6 litre big block original V8 monsterThis a genuine ‘242’ code GTO - I have traced this back and it’s definitely a 69 GTO built in Detroit USA.
Amazing condition, with any inspection welcome. This is pure American muscle at its best and the overbored engine is incredible. The sound of the car rumbling through towns and villages is great.
The car gets positive attention everywhere it goes, and complements everywhere I go in it. I have spent a small fortune getting the car to this standard (I actually don’t want to think how much I have spent in the last three years, but I wanted it to be as near to perfect as possible).
I have had the following done…
Full engine rebuild, over bored 60 over with larger pistons, Eagle con-rods, performance camshaft, performance lifters, valves and performance rockers. I have all the receipts for this from Simon Vos engineering (V8 experts) and other parts from Real Steel in Maidenhead. Only 100 miles since rebuild and running beautifully.
New F. A. S. T ignition system.
Full engine service with new oil filters, leads and spark plugs.
Suspension rebuild - new shocks, springs and bushes.
Added classic American Rally wheels, with genuine vintage Pontiac centre caps and new tyres.
New classic number plates (black and silver) just added.
Custom stainless steel exhaust system - the sound is incredible!
New lap belts added for additional safety.
Battery isolation switch added
New door locks
Black and silver vintage number plates added
Essentially this car has wanted for nothing. In this condition, there really aren’t many out there - anywhere. I am not in any hurry to sell. I might consider a swap for a car of similar value and I love classic Porsche’s and BMW’s.
I have receipts of all the work I have had completed and for all the components purchased.
