I have for sell for my classic Nissan Elgrand E50 in tennis ball green (bespoke colour option done, as I quite frankly brought it because of the colour) 3. 2 diesel with long MOT until may 2025, which is mechanically sound and had served me very well for the past 2 years of ownership. Due to ill health this is now surplus to requirements and thus I can no longer give my elgrand the time it deserves to be seen on the road.
The Elgrand drives mechanically sound and has never let me down during my travels, as these diesel engines and gearbox are known to be bulletproof, this being a very well maintained example.
Over the last 2 years I have spent quite a bit on my elgrand in excess of 2. 5k to have sorted out all the bits and niggles of it and took it around the country as a show car.
Candidly speaking as the MOT history will show that it had been for sometime not used and I have brought it as a project to do up (more on that in the history section).
A summary of work done for the MOT includes:
- MOT for 2023 - professional welding on both sills, all structural checks (solid everywhere else), underneath is undersealed and solid, suspension and brake refurb, wheel bearings, new light bulb and new battery, all electrical wiring checks at cost over 2000 GBP
- MOT for 2024 - all new transmission pipes, full service, D bush and droplinks, new tyres, welding to front crash bar and exhaust at cost of 720 GBP
A unique bonus of this that is that it would be 1 of 1 in terms of colour (love it or hate is the vibes I got), with the engine and gearbox being absolutely mint - as I have driven from north of Aberdeen to Glasgow then to Leeds and around the yorkshire region for shows and bringing friends to special events and proms.
Other summary of the van is that the brakes are very good, handbrake works perfect, suspension is solid, drives superb with full power, all electrics work, has all the horsepower as it should, and with no over heating issues at all. As with other elgrands the interior boasts comfort wool seats (3 more since added so have 8 seats in total now), and has the front, middle and back row - for up to 8 passengers and is limo tinted all round.
Being a classic show van it is in need of minor tlc as with all running classics - which I have taken into consideration with regarding to pricing it and for the right offer am able to sort these out prior to sell, these includes:
- The drive belt could benefit from being changed as it is currently squeaking a little on initial startup but does away
- The car does have a slight misfire and drives more like a manual in the sense that when changing gear one must apply some throttle to ensure it does not stall out, this becomes alot better when the car is warm
- Bodywork is showing aging in some places but in general beautiful still looking from more than 1 to 2 meters away, rear boot lid is a little rusty from underneath but not the outside
- One rear tyre loses air ever so slighly overtime - about 10 PSI over 2-3 weeks, if left stored away
- The rear suspension arm bush could benefit from a replacement, although all other suspension areas are fine as having checked during last MO

Other than that my Elgrand drives perfect as truth be told unless you are spending 9k or more every classic elgrand will comes with its faults, the question of course will more be on whether the owner owned it or is honest enough to let you know what these might be.
Mechanically these Elgrand models will last 200-300k at least if maintained properly. Come with receipts to show work done to show its history during my ownership.
Thus in summary is that my elgrand would benefit from someone who loves its style and would make some effort to either sort out some of the minor issues or I can for the right offer made upon viewing and agreement, and for it to be used as a daily or weekend showvan or company/ business/ tv show dress van - the sky is the limit.
