Description
I am offering a beautiful, restored Mk1 Woody Mini RHD in top technical and optical condition.
The car was sold as a new car in 1964, but was taken out of service quite early, in 1972. After 33 years it stood in a garage in London until the second owner (now the seller) rescued it. So the car came to Hungary on its own wheels in 2005 and underwent a comprehensive and thorough restoration at Camelot Restorations, where as many original parts as possible were retained (98% or more). Taken out of service again from 2009, but stored in a perfectly dry place. Successfully obtained FIVA certification. Then brought back to life in the autumn of 2024, brakes done, cylinder head overhauled and all fluids and filters replaced.
Complete photo documentation of the reconstruction in 2005/ 6 is available, I can send it if you like.
Viewing and test drive - by appointment - possible at any time. The car is at a Mini specialist in Győr, Hungary, about 120 km from Vienna. Complete interior, wiring harness, engine, gearbox, the drivetrains and even the wooden frame are original, overhauled, not replaced. Even not all rubber parts are replaced, some was in so good condition, that is saved and fitted back. Unique opportunity to have a real Woody in "like new, but still original" condition.
