This bike has had only 2 owners from new. I bought it new in October 1977 and rode it extensively for the next 15 years. I then traded it against a larger touring bike but always missed the little Morini. So after another 15 years I tracked it down again. It was still with the 2nd owner, and I bought it back again! I then repainted it, and rebuilt the engine and gearbox. The bike has covered around 3000 miles since that. The engine is standard Sport spec, although if it pleases you I can include the L5 cam which is an instant upgrade in performance. The speedo may well be a replacement so take no notice of the recorded miles. The engine had a reground crank, nicasyl cylinders and matched pistons and the valves and springs replaced. I recently fitted 2 new Michelin tyres and inner tubes. The bike is fitted with a pair of Koni rear shocks and the fork oil was regularly replaced. A new cam belt will be supplied on sale. The ignition system is in top order and the bike starts easily hot or cold and the battery charges properly too. All this down to me having the stator coils rewound and the flywheel re-magnetised, along with new CDI/ coil boxes. All the electrics work as they should and the handlebar switch is upgraded too.
This is the 1 year only wire wheel and disc front brake model. So if you can't quite afford the drum front collecters model then here is the even rarer bike!
The bike is in good, sound, working condition. It could be cosmetically improved but that is up to you.
Why sell now? I have other bikes and find I am using this one less. Possibly because it can bring out the hooligan in me, I don't know. I just find I'm riding trail bikes or older machines more!
I'm close to Junction 20 of the M1 and viewing is welcomed and encouraged by appointment. If you like lightweight, sporty and fun bikes that aren't likely to get you locked up when you open the throttle on your favourite twisty road, this is it. Grin factor 10. Possibly I'm getting to old and miserable for it? Spice up your (motorcycling) life!
