Description
Lovely example of a 1968 model BSA A50 Royal Star.
Basically a 500cc version of the A65 (650cc) unit
These are less stressed and smoother twins. For everyday real world classic motorcycling the A50 is just as quick as
the A65 version but without the outright top end speed and vibrations associated with the bigger bikes
This one is a matching numbers bike previously shipped to the USA and registered there in 1969.
Now registered in the UK and Tax and MOT exempt.
This one starts easily and sounds great. Once warmed up tick over is nice and even.
Paint work looks great, and chrome work whilst not perfect is very reasonable given the bikes age, with just a few pits visible here and there and some dulling to the silencers,
Other than that there is a small dent to left hand exhaust pipe and a little ding to front mudguard . Spokes are very good with dulled original zinc plating and chromed nipples.
New tyres, tubes, battery and seat cover have been fitted, lights work fine fuel tank nice and clean inside.
