Description
For sale - Affectionately named, the Blue Whale - as it will swallow most things whole. A lovely old boat, ULEZ exempt, automatic, heated seats, A. C, C. C (and an AUX head unit if the offer’s right), it will drive you whale miles in ease and comfort.
Sea analogies aside, I bought this car from Slades Garage - although not their normal fare. It was taken in part exchange from a University Professor who bought it as an Approved Used from Mercedes when nearly new and subsequently was serviced and maintained by MBA garages for his remaining tenure. Slade kept the car themselves as a runaround for a few years, where I spotted the car and couldn't resist.
It had a new alternator and battery at that point, and the car comes with a very large amount of history. It was bought as a bit of a backup car that I'd hoped to maybe be a future daily, but I am now driving a lot less and moving soon with no space for a 2nd car.
It has been sitting for some periods but always starts and still drives well. I used it for a road trip to The Highlands in October, and it ran faultlessly. I think it looks great, especially the way some of these go. It is showing some bubbling to a couple of arches and some blemishes here and there. In my time, i've changed oil and filters, flushed and rebled brake fluid and some new pads.
