Here is a lovely 1978 US import 1978 CX500 Z on a 78 S plate with just 3142 miles on the clock. I bought it from a reputable dealer and it has been fully prepared to ride and enjoy after being recommissioned and UK registered. It comes with an as new toolkit and under seat owners handbook.
I have fitted new Avon Road rider tyres, rebuilt the front brake system, added a braided hose, new Protech variable damping shocks, carb cleaned with new jets, engine fully serviced, coolant , oil, plugs filters all new, fuel tap, new colour matched paint and decals and a new Exide battery. It has the UK spec headlamp fitted and a UK NOS right hand switch so that lights can be switched off , both new parts. The switch is a NOS genuine Honda item and the headlight is a domed like original Wipac Quadoptic
I've just discovered today, there is a pinhole in the right silencer , so I have ordered two new high quality exact replica silencers both right and left and they will be fitted before it leaves here ( within a week or so)
I put it on the road with 2886 miles, have ridden it for 256 road miles at varying speeds up to 65 mph and it's smooth, well carbureted and handles well. It doesn't leak or use oil or coolant. Ready to enjoy for summer and nothing to spend. It is a historic vehicle hence tax and MOT exempt so only insurance to find. Like all classic bikes , it will need care and regular annual maintenance to keep it fettled.
I can have it delivered for £225 to most mainland places outside and north of London. The courier I use has delivered about a dozen bikes sold on ebay for me, no issues.
Payment is by bank transfer or cash on collection in person. I have been an xxxx member since 2002, never had negative or neutral feedback and I sort out any issues on anything I sell.
