1988 Volvo 245 GL, 2. 0 manual.
One previous owner, great service history, reliable workhorse, plenty of MOT. 1/ 4M on the working clocks.
In the time since we rescued the car we’ve fixed / replaced; Bonnet catch, door hinge plate welded, spark plugs and coil wires, new injectors, updated speakers but maintaining original look and grille, fuel pump and sender unit, refurbished alternator, used radiator, new light clusters where needed, oil and filter change, air filter change, various bits of trim inside and out, dizzy cap and rotor arm, new windscreen and trim, various inside bulbs, period correct wheel trims, OSR arch fixed (by the body shop apprentices), cluster fixed so it’s counting miles again, battery is pretty new.
Price is £2800 as it is, or £3300 with all new disks, pads and calipers.
Has been used as a daily for a while now with no issue. Happy to be open and honest
about jobs for the next custodians.
Ideally I’d like the car to stay in the Midlands. Don’t buy an old Volvo, they will grow on you.
