I have decided very reluctantly to put this beautiful Kawasaki Z650 up for sale. This was an import from the US in 1999. I purchased the bike just under 2 years ago as a way of getting back into motorcycling. I’ve done very few miles in that time but enough that I know I need a more modern bike to enable me to travel further distances, and as good as the Kawasaki is I don’t fancy travelling on it to see my daughter in Norfolk. My garage does not have enough room for 2 bikes unfortunately or I’d be keeping it.
It’s in beautiful condition, I bought it from the family of a gentleman who passed away just after he had restored it, I understand he was an engineer and the engine was fully rebuilt. In addition to the new paint it had brand new wheels, new exhaust and plenty of other stuff,
I have a USB stick with over 200 photos of the rebuild, if you look through them you will see what a job he did.
I’ve basically done nothing, other than change oil and filter 12 miles ago.
I’m not a mechanical expert so don’t ask me anything technical, it does have electronic ignition I know that.
When I got the bike I got it MOTd for my peace of mind, it passed with no advisories, since then it’s done 150 miles!! The V5 is in my name.
