After 20 years of pure driving pleasure I have decided to thin down my car collection and sell this lovely car. I purchased it as private sale in 2005 and has only 3 previous owners. Total of 16 main dealer stamps in the book most of which at my local BMW main dealer
Also has folder with a plethora of receipts for parts and preventative maintenance , including the big ticket items such as both Vanos rebuilds using better quality seals, bottom end overall with new shells and cam chains and guides done at BMW specialist Mr Vanos in Darlington . Previously I have fitted new OEM cats and a Tubi Rumor cat back exhaust silencers and x-pipe , OEM duel mass flywheel and clutch kit.
In 2017 a engine health check was done at BMW , cylinder leak down and compression tests after which I decided to purchase and install an ESS VT560 twin scroll supercharger along with ignition products plasma coils, new OEM fuel pump regulator and fuel filter. All original parts carefully saved in case any purists out there wish to change back to naturally aspirated (about a days work)
Car drives like a dream and paint and interior and underside exceptional with only very minor road rash commensurate with age and mileage.
Wheels refurbished in shadow chrome in fabulous condition with only a slight curb edge scuff on near side front wheel . Michelin pilots like new all round , ps5s on rear all with loads of tread . EBC pads and new OEM Sachs front shocks. Lots of other items replaced to keep it fresh , interior trim, shadow trim etc . DSP audio upgraded to BMW individual audio subs several years ago due to the muffled sound from the factory Nokia sub .
Has all book packs and spare key. Always fancied an M5 and looked at quite a few before I found this gem at the time . It simply ticks all the boxes. A manual super saloon that can be driven as docile as a Mondeo but turns into an absolute beast when required . From around 3800rpm the sound it makes from the Tubi exhaust is spine tingling , and the the power delivery amazing to its heady 7k red line, not to mention the confidence it inspires with its handling capabilities . It is a very rewarding experience driving this car and makes it hard to leave it in the garage.
