Description
Greatly saddened to offer my Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II for sale.
This is a project car, requiring welding repairs to all four wheel arches. There is a full Flying Spares provided repair panel for the near side rear wheel arch, the others ideally would have a replacement panel, though some localised small fabrication could also work fine. The enclosed photographs give an honest overview of the work required. My message is that all of the panels required are available through Flying Spares and also IntoCar.
The underside of the car is in good order with no floor panels required.
The car as the photographs show has a beige Everflex roof, it is in good order, does need recolouring, but critically there are no rust bubbles underneath.
Le Mans Blue is a ‘marmite’ colour. Personally I think these cars look stunning when the colour is fresh. The paintwork on this car is not fresh. Whilst some cutting back and polishing does improve the look, the car really warrants a repaint.
The interior is beautiful, but not without fault. The seats, carpets, head lining, door cards and dash wood are almost faultless, but the wood door cappings all need stripping back and polishing.
Just now the car isn’t running, but that is only due to the fuel pumps being unserviceable, however a fully overhauled pair of correct SU pumps are to hand and will be fitted over next weekend.
It needs to be seen, because potentially this will be a stunning example of the marque, for what is a very fair price. In good order these cars are making towards £20, 000. 00, this one isn’t there, but with the required works carried out it could be, my asking price leaves plenty of room to add value.
Happy for any inspections, mechanic or otherwise. My wife and I loved this car the moment we saw it, sadly my ill health means it is slipping down the list of jobs I need to do. But on the up side it’ll be a great buy for someone.
