Description

The 156 GTA was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001. The GTA was named after the Alfa Romeo GTA from the 1960s, the letters GTA meaning Gran Turismo Alleggerita which translate in English to lightened Grand Tourer.

Developed alongside the 147 GTA it was an exclusive high-performance model hand assembled on a dedicated production line separate to the standard 156 models.

Blessed with the Alfa's legendary 3. 2-litre Busso V6 engine (The big Busso, so-called after legendary Alfa Romeo engineer Giuseppe Busso). The most powerful version of the busso, with 247BHP which propels the car 0-60 in 6. 8secs. This engine is praised universally for its sound and revving capabilities.

The GTA was built with several weight saving materials over the standard 156. Many parts like magnesium framed front seats and dashboard frame along with suspension components helped reduce weight and give the GTA a more sporty feel.

The 156 GTA is a very rare care, less than 4800 were built with only 140 currently registered in the UK. R12 GTA is an fine usable example of this Italian performance saloon. Having had over £15k spent in the last 6 years all the expensive bits included fresh paintwork she ready to be enjoyed without the worry of a big bill on the horizon.

This GTA has a comprehensive service history, being looked after by Alfa specialists throughout its life.

Its a well equipped, leaving the factory in stunning Sterling Grey Metallic with black Momo leather. The cabin come equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, multi-CD changer, Bose sound and an after market Parrot blue tooth kits.

The body work is great condition having had a refresh in 2022, along with powder coated alloys.

Comprehensive history fill containing many receipts and invoices shows its car, cherished by it previous seven owners. It comes with all hand books and manuals and has never been involved in an accident or insurance claim.

Fitted with the must have manual box, this GTA has also had the benefit of the Alfa Quaife limited slip differential which is a desirable but expensive addition, revolutionising the power delivery and drivability of the car

An excellent 156 GTA, in good usable condition ready to enjoyed and cherished by its next owner. These are only going to get rarer and that 3. 2 Busso will ensure this model will be a highly sought after future classic.
