Hi Coming to me as a p/ x and to be honest i know very little about Britsh bikes so really all i can do is "parrot" what its last owner told me and having spent many hours chatting to him and his wife, i have no need to doubt a word he said.
First registered in 1949 this lovely condition T100 was one of the first to receive the “up-dated” headlight nacelle and more rare, the chrome tank with paint over laid finish ( apparently the nickel used in the production of chrome back then, became so expensive that the chrome tank was to costly to produce). Having only had 4 registered keepers, the last two being a father then his son. Purchased by the father in 2008, he was an Ex works scrambles rider, who wanted the same bike as he had back in his youth.
The bike was bought up to the standard you see today and then sadly when he passed away it was left to his son, who himself still scrambles in classic scramble meets today . Then, as the son wanted to take part in classic bike rides out and wanted a classic jap bike that could seat him and his wife, the triumph had to go.
Please do not ask me a million questions about what size is the rear wheel giggle pin etc as to be blunt, i do not know! All i do know is it starts easily, runs well and everything works. I do remember being told it has “the uprated mag” on it which aids its starting. O and guess what, no pools of oil under it when left standing! There are some hand written notes and old MOTs, past that No it does not have a full service history, its nearly 80 years old but i have been asked??
Priced i think very fairly ( check out the others on the market in the UK or abroad that are the same spec/ condition) and hopefully it will go to a good home. GJust a great bit of British motorcycling history.
