Description
For sale is my lovely 1962 Rover 100 P4 in Smoke grey. The original 6 Cyl 2. 6L engine is coupled to a manual transmission with a working overdrive unit. The Rover runs and drives great having covered 97k miles from new, a testament to the build quality of these cars.
This car was originally sold by Dicksons of Forres (Rover dealership) and has lived in the North east of Scotland its entire life. Despite being a Scottish car there is a distinct lack of rust and that’s one of the reasons I bought the car. It’s been fully inspected on ramps (see pics) and there are no signs of rust or previous welding underneath.
Bought last summer and during my ownership it’s had:
SU HD6 carb rebuilt and tuned
4 x New 185/ 80/ 15 radial tyres
All new fluids - engine, gearbox, diff, steering box and front swivel pins
Spark plugs and healthy compression test
New battery
New fuel tank sender
New stainless rim embellishers
New Door seals
New tailored carpet mat set
Paintwork has plenty of blemishes and touch ups over the years, acceptable patina but definitely not concours. Interior is in original condition and is very presentable as is the engine bay. Tappets are a bit noisy but that’s the only complaint.
