Description

Extremely rare Triumph Herald 1200 Estate imported and finally assembled by DUCATI, original left-hand drive, vehicle was restored on a very good basis regardless of cost. The bonnet was rust-free, it still has the original wheel arches, rear panel, splash plates and sill plates. The car was completely stripped of paint, partially galvanised and then painted in the original Coffee colour. The chassis and almost all chassis parts are powder-coated. The original 1200 engine was completely overhauled and fitted with a Shorrock Supercharger, special cylinder head with machined ports, large valves and modified combustion chamber, crankshaft nitrided and finely balanced, rocker shaft nitrided, Newman 260 camshaft fitted, double timing chain set installed, exhaust system made with Marmitte silencer, oil cooler with thermostat etc. etc. An overhauled overdrive gearbox with aluminium clutch bell housing was installed. The chassis is fitted with Superflex PU bushes throughout, adjustable GAZ shock absorbers are installed. The interior has been completely reupholstered and covered with green Mercedes genuine leather, including the cockpit. The carpet is made of green loop pile fabric. The wooden cockpit is original and has been refurbished, an original SHORROCK boost pressure instrument and an oil thermometer have also been installed All chrome parts have been re-chromed, all rubber parts are new, the seals on the C-pillar have been specially made, Even the original jack was restored In addition, the Herald is equipped with a trailer coupling and has an on-board socket in the boot A multi-page report on the car has already been published in Oldtimer Praxis, and it was also exhibited at the Retro Classics trade fair in Stuttgart There are still three known Ducati Herald Estates, only two of which are roadworthy An opportunity that will not come again so quickly!
