First delivered in March 1977 to Lex Mead Bristol, a well-known Rolls Royce dealership. The car has had multiple owners over the years, with the last two being Rolls Royce mechanics, ensuring expert care and maintenance. It is currently owned by two classic car enthusiasts who have enjoyed and maintained it regularly.
The car has been well-maintained with regular servicing. Last serviced on 12/ 06/ 2024. MOT valid until 11/ 06/ 2025. The mileometer has stopped working, but the speedometer functions perfectly. Air conditioning does not blow cold air. The paintwork is tidy, though the next owner may wish to refresh it for perfection.
This Silver Shadow II comes with an exceptional 59-page archive from the Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club, containing build records, road test results, paint shop inspection, the original order form and invoice, as well as the original service book, handbook, and brochures.
This is a well-documented, well-maintained example of a Silver Shadow II with a proven history and careful ownership. We bought this Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II after being inspired by a visit to Rodger Dudding’s incredible collection at Studio 434 in London, where we saw his impressive fleet of Silver Shadows. That visit cemented our love for these cars and made us want to own one ourselves.
This one stood out because of its original factory specification, its well-documented history, and the fact that it had been in the hands of two Rolls Royce mechanics before us, meaning it had been properly cared for. The combination of Willow Gold paint, Dark Brown leather with Beige piping, and Deep Fawn carpets gives it a timeless and classy look that still turns heads today.
Our favorite thing about this car is how effortlessly cool it is. It’s a car that brings smiles wherever it goes – whether it’s arriving at a prom, rolling up to a wedding, or even making an ironic appearance at the local tip! It’s a joy to drive, incredibly comfortable, and despite being nearly 50 years old, still has that unmistakable Rolls Royce presence.
What makes it unique is not just its elegant spec but also its extensive documentation, giving a fascinating insight into its original build and life since. It’s not just a classic car; it’s a piece of automotive history that’s been loved and enjoyed, and now it’s ready for its next chapter.
