or sale is my original big bumper Mk2 ABF powered Golf GTI 16v. Been in my possession for 11 years & garaged for all of that time. The car is in very good condition for 34 years old but it does have age related marks on the body and wear & tear on the inside. The Blauschwarz Metallic black paint (LP5T) shines up really well and gets lots of attention when she’s out & about.
The engine conversion was done by a previous owner & it runs really well and has lots of power benefiting from a Superchip and stainless steel exhaust. It has been recently serviced and the transmission fluid changed. The brakes have been upgraded to dimpled & grooved disks and has recently had both front lower suspension arms changed & both rear wheel bearings replaced. Currently running on coilovers and recently refurbished 15” BBS RAs with brand new Avon tyres but the 16” Dare RS wheels shown in the later images are also available if wanted. Inside the rainbow interior is in good condition but there is the common wear to the drivers bolster material. The headliner looks great & the sun roof works as it should. The stereo has been updated to a Sony removable facia model with Bluetooth connectivity. All the speakers have been replaced and I’ve added an Edge 12” subwoofer in the boot. Unfortunately the Rev counter & MFA have never worked but it’s not bothered me enjoying every mile I’ve driven her. There are still 8 months left on the MOT so all good for summer drives.
