Description
MGA Mk2 1961 in Old English White and red interior. Had 3 previous owners. I bought it privately 3 years ago from a person in Devon. He had bought it from someone who knew the engineer who had completely rebuilt the car in 2009. It had been kept on the south coast until I brought it north where it has been garaged and only used on dry days. It has been serviced regularly and has just completed an extensive one and been tuned. It ran well before but now it is a dream!
It benefits from rare deluxe competition seats, replica aluminium Dunlop wheels like the twin cam, along with the correct 1622 engine and an oil cooler has been fitted. It has a stainless steel exhaust, mohair hood, side screens and tonneau.
I have the Heritage certificate along with the original handbook, many invoices and restoration photos.
Since I have owned it, the car won Runner up sports car section in the 2023 Festival of 1000 Classic cars at Cholmondeley castle.
The car is being sold to make room for a new project. I have thoroughly enjoyed this car, it is a gem.
