1980 Testi Champion Special | UK Original Rare Sports Moped

UK Original 1980 Testi Champion Special 50cc Sports Moped - Fully Restored - Mega Rare Bike From the FS1E/ AP50/ Fantic/ Gitane Era.

V5C in my name with just 2 previous owners.
Registered as a historic moped, so Tax and MoT exempt.
I know of just 3 other UK original from new Testi Champion Special mopeds that are currently registered.
Just 2423 miles from new in 1980.

The Testi has been fully restored over the last 18 months while keeping as many original parts (including nuts, bolts and washers etc.) as possible.
Frame, swinging arm etc. repainted.
Minarelli P6/ 4R engine and gearbox rebuilt.
Crankcase covers, radial cylinder and head vapour blasted.
Modern 12 volt electronic ignition fitted.
Fibreglass body and fairing repainted, the yellow and blue graphics have been painted on and lacquered over rather than using decals.
New windscreen.
New seat base, foam and cover.
Alloy wheels have been powder coated.
Modern Continental ContiStreet tyres fitted.
Exhaust and clip-on handlebars re-chromed.
De-restricted with Dellorto 19mm carburettor and big air filter.

A very similar bike to the French built Gitane Champion Veloces apart from the later Radial style cylinder and also 4 speed gearbox as opposed to the Gitane's 6 speed. The Testi has Lispa hydraulic front fork cartridge inserts which are much better than the 'pogo stick' spring only forks of the Gitane.

Being sold as a historic moped, so no warranty is implied or given.
