Description
Cb1100rs na-k 5four with private reg.
Special edition these bikes were hand crafted by Guy Willison working with Honda UK, of the original & intended 54 only around 43 were made mine was number 50 . At just over 900 miles I have been advised to stop riding. The bike is slightly more unique than the other 5fours because Guy signed the bike underneath the handmade tail end it was then lazer etched in place, the carb or injector covers are unique Guy had a few anodised aluminium covers made for the bikes with the intention of supplying them as a kit to replace the plastic ones on the day we collected my bike Guy fitted and replaced these on the spot. The bike itself is hand painted, in lustrous red, white, blue with silver highlights, the tank decals are actually handpainted, the nose cone, the seat unit are made from hand rolled aluminium making each bike unique, the footpegs are polished & shortened. The bars are renthal and the levers are unique custom made as are the mirrors then we have the titanium slip ons hand made by Racefit giving the bike an indescribable noise I also have the original factory cans and the centre stand if desired. The saddle is hand stitched alcantara. Being completely honest there is a slight ding in the rhs battery cover that will push out with gentle heating and some very slight marks on the front mudguard they will polish out sadly these were caused during storage as I'm no longer able to ride.
The paint work is beautifully done by hand as is the aluminium bodywork hand crafted on the English wheel, the dashboard illuminates blue whilst the speedo and tacho are analogue the 6 speed gearbox is probably the smoothest I've ever used and the suspension is incredible the bike handles like it's on rails whilst it's no sports bike the power is real world usable. The bike is unique it turns heads wherever it goes, especially when parked up or at filling stations, the sound is unbelievable the burble and crackle on over run is just simply grin inducing, the handling is like a 600 sports machine it is so flickable and follows a line with plenty of grunt to power you through any bend she howls like a banshee through the rev range, as there are only 43 of these machines I think they will definitely appreciate over time they are a fantastic package rideable in urban areas, perfect for B road blasts and smooth and nimble for any challenge they're incredible on the road people openly stare as you pass them and I've had people come up to me to photograph the bike it has featured in several bike magazine write ups including built magazine uniquely each of the parts made by Guy were hand made, no machine touched these custom additions Guy made the original blanks from polystyrene and cardboard the way it used to be then aluminium pieces were hand crafted to fit each individual bike! No two are the same, they were made in batches of 5 the earliest models supplied with yellow coated shocks, mine being one of the last produced has all black shocks by Showa there were two engine colours designated, silver or black I chose black so this bike apart from the bodywork is almost completely lustrous gloss black, the handling is very surprising it is pin sharp, the torque is relentless giving bags of power through the rev range and gearing the mass is held low so the bike has an aggressive stance and low centre of gravity the aluminium spoked wheels heavily coated in thick anthracite are a work of art again giving the bike a non factory look, every styling upgrade is so well thought out based on the original cb1100 racers with a mix of the cb900 thrown in these bikes are incredible and I think will bring great pleasure to their owners.
