Seat Belt WarningI bought the car from the Morgan Factory in Malvern at 12 months old and at 4, 000 miles. The previous owner had traded it in against a new model.
Having previously owned a Traditional Morgan, here are a few personal observations which immediately come to mind, when riding in the new CX Generation Plus Four -
- More cabin Space (I no longer rub shoulders with my passenger when changing gear)
- With 256 BHP available, the performance is very pleasing whilst still returning well over 40 to the gallon, two up and fully loaded with luggage
- Handling is far superior with the stiffness of the Welded and Bonded Monocoque Chassis and independent adjustable suspension all round
- Power steering is a boon, especially when a quick rotation of the Steering wheel is required
- If you do drive at night, the lights are brilliant, especially when the Cibie Spotlights come in to play
- A pleasure I’m sure that I have in common with many drivers is listening to the Soundtrack from the exhaust. This model benefits from the additional extra of a Sports Exhaust system and with the ‘Sports Mode’ setting in use, it can be particularly tuneful.
- I actually thought that the Air Conditioning was unnecessary but when in the UK we can experience all seasons in a matter of hours, I have been appreciative of it on occasion.
The car comes with the fitted waterproof cover. I don’t intentionally take it out when the weather looks doubtful but it’s a great addition when travelling.
I am ideally looking for a straight sale as I wish to fund a Project Vehicle which I have already lined up but I may consider a part exchange at a push.
