Description
Here we have one of the rare original convertibles of the W112. 023 series, Mercedes Benz 300SE/ C. The W112 was only available as a coupé or convertible, the top model of the so-called "Heckflosse" at the time. Built from February 1962 up to and including December 1967, only 708 of the convertible offered here were built, a real 5-seater convertible, elegant, timeless and still made in the good old solid handwork.
First registration 01. 07. 1964, in 2016 a so-called "frame-off restoring" was carried out, i. e. the vehicle was completely dismantled and rebuilt. Including the engine and gearbox, all new parts, as well as the air suspension and all other parts, such as brake calipers, brake pads, brake discs, shock absorbers, etc. Everything is documented accordingly and although it already looks so beautiful in the photos, it is even more beautiful when you see it standing in front of you. The interior has also been renewed, everything according to the data card, i. e. in its original condition. The vehicle has German H licence plates and 2 years Tüv (until 12. 2026). Get in and drive off and watch the vehicle continue to increase in value.
Expert opinion from 2016, after the restoration, for 256, 000 EUR is also available. Today, the value is likely to be slightly higher, as it is a rare and very beautiful model without any repair backlog. 1 year warranty is also included, viewings and test drive by appointment at the location in Grolsheim.
The mileage indicated shows the mileage after restoration. As the engine has been completely overhauled, including the injection pump, it is a new engine, so to speak. According to the previous owner, more than EUR 120, 000 was invested in the overall restoration, which in my opinion is absolutely worthwhile as it is now practically a daily driver for the next few years. If it's only at weekends, then it's fine, but you could use it as a daily driver if you wanted to.
In any case, it shouldn't just sit around in the garage. The mechanical injection pump, for example, doesn't like it standing around unused for long periods of time.
Lots of photos and videos available, will upload all further information to my cloud in the next few days and make it available for retrieval. These rare and yet sought-after vehicles only go in one direction in terms of value, upwards. I. e. it won't get any cheaper and always remember, it is an original convertible from Mercedes, not a conversion from coupé to convertible!!! Anyone interested in such a beautiful vehicle will know how important it is that it is an original, so-called "factory convertible".
Further information on request. Engine and gearbox, matching numbers, i. e. original aggregate. No rust, no accident damage. Colour code 334 G light blue from Glasurit, was a special colour at the time
