Lovely original T500 US import . Matching Numbers bike

Registered as historic in my name.
I purchased the bike as a good running bike with patina . I always wanted one as part of my two stroke collection. In my ownership I have rebuilt the carbs and re-chromed a number of parts. The bike's previous owner Rutland Classic Motorcycles had the crank rebuilt with new seals and the Lower crankcase mod done to increase the oil capacity to stop transmission oil surge (common mod on early T500s . This was a later factory modification and is well documented on the internet to improve gear oiling.) . It runs flawlessly. As I have a number of bikes it is just not getting used.. The paint isn't perfect but appears to be original tidy condition. I would describe the bike as excellent condition for it's age as can be seen in the photos
Very original condition and has a nice age to the tank paint . Rims were spotless but the exhaust and rear mudguard were pitted. These have been re-chromed . The seat has patina but is not ripped . All electrics function correctly.
Comes with a file of receipts for the work carried outThe T500r which this model is has the flat bottomed headlamp and also has the factory fit manual tyre pump very sophisticated in 1971 . t500s are very unique two strokes they are not high revving and have lots of torque
