Description
For sale is this Slate Blue (67-1) 1964 Volvo 121 (Amazon) wagon, I’ve owned sínce May 18, 1999, when I purchased it from The original owner. The vehicle was originally sold new in Luanda Angola, later brought to Portugal (1977). In the year 2000, the vehicle was subject to a complete restoration, both mechanical/ electric and bodywork/ paint. Only original Volvo parts were used. I have receipts for almost all parts purchased from local Volvo Dealer. Vehicle is driven when necessary, for use in city and short commute. Currently with MOT valid until October 10, 2027.
PS:(vehicle was at one point converted to TWO S. U. carburettors, I have the original intake/ exhaust manifold, as well as the Zenith carburettor and oil bath air filter). I originally purchased the car due to an old passion for the Volvo Amazon (having owned several two and four door versions), namely the station wagon… and after having contacted Volvo Portugal, I was assured that due to the lack of records of any such vehicle having been imported "directly" from Volvo Sweden, you can imagine my surprise, when after a long search (many years), I finally came across an advertisement in a local newspaper “Jornal Ocasião”, and after a short conversation over the phone, I scheduled a visit. A few days later, and a 2h30 drive south of Lisbon, upon laying eyes on the car, I immediately fell in love, and sure enough, two weeks later, I was the proud owner of this beautiful and rare car. One of the things I love about this car is that it’s such a versatile classic car, has never broken down and has served me well
