Description
This is a 1966 SWB 912 restoration project - with its engine running* - and they are getting very, very hard to find these days. Yes, it's definitely rusty, but it is an original, complete 1966 Slate Grey 912, which - when fully restored - will be worth in excess of £65, 000. We all know that air-cooled Porsche values have been going through the roof for years, but this car would really be a labour of love - it is a beautiful, classic 1960s Porsche, which has the potential to be one of the best-looking cars on the road (see last four shots). It's going to need inner and outer sills, front pan, pedal section, body panel repair, metal fabrication or replacement, new fuel tank, etc. - all available online - but the floors - unusually - are not that bad (see photographs). Dashboard and gauges, switchgear, etc., are all present. While this 912 is most definitely a project car, its potential as a valuable investment opportunity is undeniable; it will make a great project for somebody. I would really like to take this 912 on for myself and transform it into the beauty that it once was, but unfortunately I have too many projects at the moment, so my loss is definitely your gain.
* Video available. UK-registered, with new V5 and age-appropriate 'D' registration number. According to the factory technical data sheet (see picture), the car was actually manufactured in 1965.
