Volvo 240DL
Solid, strong and dependable, this has been our go-anywhere family weekend camping car for the past eight years. It's never let us down. I've periodically replaced whatever needs replacing and currently MOT'd until the end of October 2025.
Brilliant unstressed 2. 3 litre engine - simply analogue and easy to work on.
The bodywork has a few dents but no visible signs of rust. The underside gets a yearly once-over with Lanoguard.
The DL grey cloth interior is in fabulous condition.
4 speed manual gearbox.
With the back seats flat it's fully 2m long - bikes, tents, Christmas trees...
Tow bar and electrics.
Sadly, no garaging, ULEZ (for the next few years, then a classic vehicle) and lack of use, it's time to move this on.
