For Sale. 1971 Alfa 105 Coupe. 1300 GT Junior LHD.
An unfinished re-commissioning project This car has been dry stored since 1981. It is rust free and the body panels and alignment are as original. The paintwork is excellent for its age and the chrome is good.
Chassis AR 1268773 was exported and sold first to a buyer in New York State, USA in 1971. Ten year later the car was in Belgium and purchased by a UK car dealership for parts but was deemed too good to scrap. Brought to the UK, the car was serviced and repainted from its original Pino Verde colour to Alfa Red. When the business relocated in 1981 it was put into storage where it remained until this vendor’s purchase in 2013. The car was started and driven onto and off the transporter to its current garage location, where it has been periodically run, but never road legal. Currently, the cylinder head is not affixed to the block and the car still awaits full roadworthiness, etc. A spare running 1300 engine (not tested by me) is included in the sale.
Works completed include:
New complete dashboard,
Stainless Steel exhaust,
New Brake Callipers, Pads, Master Cylinder and pipework,
New Wiper motor assembly,
New Cylinder head parts for unleaded conversion, (not assembled)
Various light fittings and many other small improvements, refits and replacements have been completed.
Most parts required to re assemble are included in the sale, both new and original.
There is evidence of minor welding to a small repair in the floor pan and there is minor bubbling around the passenger door handle. Apart from that the car is very clean.
Documentation to include Bill of sale, 105 Register confirmation. UK Customs vat exemption certificate (UK owners will only need an MOT to be eligible for a V5)
