This Mark 2 started life as a Daimler V8 250 auto, 6 years ago it had an extensive conversion and rebuild and the specification was changed virtually throughout the whole car to more of an uprated Mark 2 Jaguar spec. The list of parts replaced seemed endless but the result has been phenomenal, this is a genuine 130 + mph Mark 2 with masses of torque and will pull smoothly from 1200 rpm in 4th gear and it sits on the road when at speed like a lump of lead, it will also go round bends in a good manner, it stops okay and has an exhaust note that people dream about all of the upgrades have been done in the spirit of the 1960’s. The basic spec is 4. 2 litre Jaguar XK motor, with 2” SU’s, 123 ignition system, Wasp high inertia starting motor, Moss 4 speed with overdrive, 3. 54 limited slip differential, all round Koni suspension, all new bushes, thicker anti roll bar, all new UJ’s, reconditioned steering box, new brake master cylinder and servo, brake lines discs and pad’s reconditioned calipers, new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder + new clutch, new wheel bearings all round, new extra cored alloy radiator, electric fan all new hoses etc, etcI have recently September 2024 done The Alpine Tour down to Italy and completing some 3400 miles, the car ran without missing a beat.
