Description
Imported from Las Vegas in 2017 through a dealer on mainland UK and I am the only UK owner. It has always been garaged in my ownership, no rot. I live in Guernsey, Channel Islands, we do not have any type of M. O. T. test or certificate. I only drive it occasionally, less than 2000 miles in the whole time that I have owned it. Excellent condition throughout. Starts easily and drives fine. When warm it idles fairly quickly, I don't know if that is down to the autochoke or if it can be adjusted on the carb. It has a 2. 5l cast iron motor which is fairly economical. When it was built V6 and V8 options were available which are still around today. These engines were shared amongst the Pontiac / Chevrolet / Oldsmobile range so were plentiful. Original interior which is mostly very good. There is some sun damage to the very top of the rear seat and the drivers seat has had a repair to a small section on the side nearest the window, also likely due to the Las Vegas sun. I put some headrests in the rear which hide the worst of the damaged area. It has had some new carpets at some stage I would say, they look too good to be original. The previous owner fitted a couple of aftermarket gauges under the dash but didn't connect them up, I have never gotten round to it either. The horn is operated by a button on the dash rather than from the steering wheel. I changed all of the instrument lighting to green bulbs, looks great at night. The lens cover on the roof mounted interior light is missing but the light does work. The headlining is clean and tidy , no sagging. Original AM / FM radio still present and working. Still on original alloy wheels with all 4 centre caps present. Paint work is mostly good, the roof has a little patina in places from the sun but the vast majority is nice and shiny. There are a couple of small blemishes here and there which do not detract from it's appearance. I bought this car because I wanted an American car which is less common, manual, fairly economical and looks good. I also like the quirky features such as the antennae for the radio embedded into the windscreen, the split rear seat, floor mounted dip switch and external bonnet release. I had plans to mildly customise it but this has never come to fruition. I have had a recurring disc problem with my back and both knees replaced and as the car is fairly low I struggle to get in and out of it these days. Between this and overall low useage I have decided to sell.
