For Sale: 1993 Mercedes-Benz 320TE Estate – Rare Mopf 1. 5 Model

A true modern classic – this 1993 Mercedes 320TE Estate is the rare and desirable Mopf 1. 5 model, combining the better pre-facelift body with the improved later engine. Unlike others on the market, this is not a Japanese import and comes with a FULL service history from new. The history folder has to be seen to be believed, every detail since new has been saved (including the very prominent first owner who bought it in London in 1993!).

If you know your W124s you'll understand how rare this one is. There's only 6 '93 320 TEs left in the country, which could very well make this the only one left in 929 Nautic Blue.

Why I’m Selling:

It's my weekend/ roadtrip car, and I've absolutely loved this car during my ownership- this is my third W124 and definitely the best one. The build quality and comfort are still second to none, and it's been a faithful companion on many trips down the UK and Europe. It happily sits at 90mph all the way through France, and returns nearly 30mpg at more British motorway speeds.

I'll be sad to see it go, but having just bought a Royal Enfield motorcycle, I'm simply not using the car enough anymore, so it's time for someone else to enjoy it.

Condition & Known Issues:
- Mechanically always maintained regardless of cost (upwards of £6, 000 spent over the past 2, 5 years)
- Paintwork shows its age – various scratches (most are superficial that'll polish out, apart from one deeper scratch on rear passenger door), and lacquer peel on the tailgate (result from a poor respray I imagine). From a few steps away it looks great though.
- No rust on the typical places (arches are very clean)
- Cruise control doesn’t work
- Sunroof tilts but doesn’t slide
