Description
1971 Herald 13/ 60 Convertible.
A wonderful, ready-to-use classic Herald that has undergone significant mechanical reconditioning, and just needs using!
I bought the car in April 2022 as I'd always fancied one. Since I've owned it, I've had the engine completely rebuilt, a reconditioned gearbox with overdrive fitted, a reconditioned rear diff fitted, a stainless exhaust and countless other odds-and-sods, with the goal of making this a completely reliable, usable car. All work carried out by Tony Lindsay-Dean, who has a long history of engineering winning Triumph race cars.
The bodywork is Sienna brown, with a black interior and tan roof. While the bodywork is not concours-winning, it's a solid 8/ 10. I prefer not to have to worry about where I park, so this suits me, but leaves scope for improvement should you want.
Underneath the car has been thoroughly wax-oiled, so is very well protected.
Inside the cabin everything works as it should, and there are seatbelts fitted to the front seats. A Blaupunkt Skagen DAB radio is fitted, with two speakers in the back.
The car comes with the hood cover, full tonneau cover and a wind deflector (which I've never used). Selling due to moving to a house with no garage, so I have kept it in storage 70 miles away, which means I just don't use it. It sits on a battery conditioner and always starts first time. It has only covered approx 300 miles since the engine rebuild!
