1993 Jaguar XJS 4. 0 AJ6 – Classic Grand Tourer
A well-maintained and regularly driven 1993 Jaguar XJS 4. 0 AJ6, finished in Flamenco Red over Oat Leather with a smooth and reliable straight-six engine. This car has been a fantastic and proven driver, used for long trips and regular outings, and always well looked after.
I've taken it regularly from Manchester to Anglesey over the last five years, and it is used all year round a couple of times a week.
To answer the age old question of why I'm selling, I want an f-type soon and I don't have a garage at my new house.

Notable Points to be honest about the negatives:
- Driver’s door lock sticks occasionally
- Tape deck not working
- Coolant level drops slightly over long drives – potentially due to a crack in the overflow tank inside the wing, though not investigated further. Have confirmed no leaks from the coolant system pipes, all of which have been replaced during my ownership, as has the thermostat and valve for the heating.
A solid and usable classic with a well-documented history. Drives beautifully and is a great opportunity for an enthusiast looking for a well-kept example. Every time I get into this car I feel great. The inside, while it's not as mint condition as a more expensive example is still more then enough to make you feel special.
The engine sounds lovely, deep and bassy but still with class, and some little burbles when it warms up on a summers day.
It cruises and floats around town, and you cannot take it out without someone stopping to have a chat with you about it.
It also benefits from a respray in the late 2000s, so the paint is factory accurate still, but very fresh and bright.
One final brightener is that it comes with the original leather wallet for the documents, the original showroom keyring (only one set of keys though, sorry) and even a taped version of the owner manual with the B-side filled with jag showroom music!
