Description
The car is very original and imported into the UK from Australia by Alpha Romeo restorer Murray Rainey.. Subsequently driven by his daughter Joy the journalist. Auctioned at Christies in the 1970s and bought at auction by me 6 years ago. Little use before restored by me as stored as exhibit in Showroom of Fiat dealer.
In my ownership the car has been totally rewired and fitted with discreet indicators and brake lights. The fuel tank has been rebuilt as have all electrical equipment ie starter and dynamo. Magneto rebuilt by Carl Kelly of Bicester Heritage and comes with a spare. New beaded edge tyres. A reliable runner which has given much pleasure to my family. A reluctant sale due to health issues and age. The car is a reliable and quality build qualifying for the Edwardian and Light Car section of the Vintage Sports Car Club. It has enjoyed several visits to the Light Car annual rally in Wales. The Torpedo body was built by the Melbourne Carriage Company
