This 1971 Mini Cooper started its life as an 850cc. In 2022 the car was commissioned by its previous owner to have a full rebuild. The owner contacted the prestigious Lenham Classic & Sports Cars. The brief was for them to completely rebuild the Mini to their specification along with a 1275cc engine. Well over £30k has been spent on this stunning car supported with a folder with many invoices.
The Mini was completely stripped back to bare metal and any areas that required metal work and attention were renewed ensuring a good base to build from. The car had new front wings, new front panel, new rear valence, new boot, new mk1 rear panel.
The car has had a completely bespoke new white leather interior which includes a Union Jack quilted design rear parcel shelf.
The car is finished in Le Mans green pearl, which when partnered with the white roof compliments the car very well. This is a stunning colour and remains unblemished.
The Gearbox had a complete strip and rebuild and was refurbished with new components. Other mechanical improvements include:
• New clutch kit
• Reconditioned fletcher radiator
• New hoses
• new 1. 5” carbs
• new facet electronic fuel pump
• new fletcher full stainless steel exhaust system
• New fuel tank
• new Gaz shocks all round and a coil spring conversion
• Brake upgrade - KAD alloy k4 big disc brake kit paired with Mintex m1144 pads.
• Alloy fin rear drums - new rear brake shoes and rear brake cylinder
• new fuel tank
• new wiring loom.
The previous owner was a big car enthusiast and the mini was part of his extensive car collection residing in a hardstanding heated garage with the rest of the collection.
This Mini has only done 102 miles since all the work was completed.
