This is a wonderful example of the highly regarded 500SL. It was the best example I could find when I purchased the vehicle some five years ago. The car boasts all its original features, including the alloy wheels and the Blaupunkt Becker Grand Prix cassette deck, which is fully functional. It comes with a hard top and new soft top. The car was fully restored over a four to five year period by the previous owner who was a Mercedes-Benz mechanic and this was carried out between 2007 and 20011/ 12. This restoration is documented in a photographic album which can be seen on file, in addition to that, there are receipts of approximately £26, 000 to £27, 000 which are also in the history file. I was seeking a car that required no work, and ready to be enjoyed reliably without additional costs. This is still the case and is backed up by a full technical and photographic report carried out by the SL Shop specialist dealer. The Mercedes service booklet is full from the first inspection, carried out at just 600 miles. The colour combination of blue and grey interior is well suited to this model, and complimented superbly by the chrome detailing. Undoubtedly one of the best examples available.
