Honda PC50K1 from 1976 fully restored by ourselves ... its a hobby that got a little out of control. We have 8 mopeds left including 2 PC50's, a PF and the rare PS50. No doubt this was our best work having rebuilt at least 20 PC/ PF or P50 Honda's; a house move ensures that most of our current collection will have to be sold ... Images of the build are available plus a video can be sent via we transfer or whatsap. The restoration was completed in June 2022 since then it has remained in doors. We found her on the Isle of Wight in August 21, needed a coil and the engine fired up, the only issue was paperwork which was supplied via the DVLA, registered 'Historic'. The frame had been coated and it took days to remove but what we found was an unmarked solid chassis. The decision was then made to carry out a full (rather costly) restoration. Finished in 2 pack in original Honda Blue whilst the plastic chain/ mudguards/ tool box etc were flatted back and the factory Cloud White was copied (also in 2 pack) by a local paint supplier. The tank was lined and also painted to colour. Wheel hubs were cut out and fresh bearings fitted front and rear, plus brakes overhauled. Went through the ignition fully, fresh coil, points, plug and cap etc also repacked fresh steering head bearings. Stainless spokes were ordered and Mopedland sourced new rims and with our refurbished hubs the wheels were assembled then trued up by a professional. Finally new tape, tubes and Continental white wall tyres completed the job. The centre stand is always an issue with PC50's and our fix required new 13mm steel bar secured with 'R' clips. Reshaped alloy plate was used as support for the vulnerable front mudguard mount, this is required on most PC's. Overhauled front suspension with new plastic bushes and Honda supplied exhaust studs installed to accommodate the new exhaust. The bike was carefully assembled, a new steering lock and period 'roadster' pedals fitted, then shortly after it was completed a set of very clean, original Honda leg shields (images show with and without leg shields) came my way to complete the show. Since completion less than 50 miles have been travelled and this PC50 comes with owners manual and Honda service booklet, V5 in my name. We will be listing at least one more PC/ PS and a Novio ... any questions just ask. Quite honestly this PC is one of the best available ... it rides as good as it looks and is the pride of our collection ... any inspection welcomed. A matching numbers machine that comes with original owners manual and workshop file.
