Description
1964 Panhead PROJECT - believed complete, just needs finishing. 1, 400cc stroker - outside oiler - Truett and Osborn flywheels, S&S crankcases, short skirt pistons, Andrews camshaft, Jims hydraulic lifters, Primo Primary belt drive, SU Riviera Carb, 6 volt. New V-Twin Manufacturing replacement frame, all brake parts replaced including drums and brake plates, wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes, new tyres, too many new parts to list. Many parts imported with all duties paid. No V5 but many receipts and many spares.
Requires wiring, battery, internal throttle and advance retard cables, distributor overhauling, either change oil pipes or fit original style oil pump and all tinware requires painting. Any inspection welcome. Reason for sale - too many toys and not enough time. I believe this bike represents a piece of history - the last of the kick start Harleys. First produced in 1948 and I believe eventually got it completely right in 1964. These machines are quite rare as they stopped producing them in 1965 when they changed to the Electraglide.
