Description
ET05 CTF Overview:
BMW 535d M Sport, 199, XXX miles, Carbon Schwarz metallic, black leather interior, 2 functioning Keys, Full book pack, pan roof, copious amounts of service history, including an Excel spreadsheet from the previous owner articulating every expense, from wiper blades to a new torque converter. MOT due in April, however I'm happy to put it through MOT before sale (please bare in mind I only use BmWizard (specialist), and their lead time is around 2/ 3 working weeks, so don't expect me to be able to MOT over night for you).
Highlights:
⦁ Recent mechanical work in my ownership:
rocker cover gasket replacement, new thermostat , new coolant pump, new pressure converters x 3 (OEM), vacuum lines replaced, new boost hoses, oil and filter service (OEM), new wipers (front and rear), new tires all round (Michelin Pilot Sport 4, new air filter and cabin filters, new parking sensors sensors, new wiper motor and wiper relay. Bills present for aforementioned work.
⦁ Recent interior work:
LED bulb upgrade, interior deep cleaned and leather cleaned/ conditioned with Autoglym products, new interior mats.
⦁ Performance:
DPF/ EGR/ Swirl flap "enhancement" carried out, remapped by GKR Performance (BMW Specialist) to a safe 350bhp/ 750nm - live road data tailored to car. Stage 3 XHP gearbox map also flashed to car.
⦁ Points of interest before my ownership:
LCI head lights retrofitted, boot wiring loom repair carried out professionally (common fault), Torque converter replaced, brake discs and pad recently, large headunit screen installed professionally (android auto/ apple car play) - works faultlessly. Alternator and battery replaced in recent years, as has the rear suspension compressor and air bags. Original bill of sale present, huge folder of receipts, service history present, too much to list.
Negatives:
⦁ Mechanical: I have noticed in this colder weather car will smoke for 10-15 seconds or so (unburnt fuel), so glowplugs would need replacing to eradicate this (fault codes read and confirmation glowplugs are unserviceable). Car has never failed to start however, and I must stress there is no smoke when driving/ on boost etc, or in any other scenario apart from the initial start in colder weather - not an issue in milder temperatures.
⦁ Cosmetic: Stone chips present to front of vehicle, rear bumper has a small mark on the O/ S corner, approx 20mm in length. Wheels are presentable, however would benefit from a refurbishment.
Reason for sale and the boring bits:
I now work from home permanently, so simply have no need for two cars. In my ownership it spent it's time sat on the M6 covering 6-800 miles a week faultlessly. The previous owner was an IT professional who also used it for motorway commutes. I must stress despite the higher mileage, this car has been correctly and sympathetically maintained, and has absolutely not been abused. The astounding service history file pays testament to this.
Proof of insurance will be required for test drives, and group viewings will not be entertained - I'm well aware of the tricks some people like to pull these days, so please save your time and energy. I'm also not interested in any swaps or part ex's, apologies.
Price: £4450, private sale.
Location: Oswestry, SY11. Nearest train station is Gobowen - happy to collect prospective buyer.
* Note: I will add more pictures when the weather allows for a hand wash and a decent back drop, but for now it gives you a good pictorial representation of the vehicle in question. Powerful, practical and a great all-rounder. Meticulously cared for, with all the common E61 issues already addressed, plus copious amounts of preventative maintenance and the perfect performance enhancements.
An outstanding car, with an outstanding history file, ready to provide the new owner with another 200, 000 happy motoring miles!
