Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was reportedly modified for racing from new and has been refurbished under current ownership. Its competition history encompasses SCCA regional road racing and autocross as well as VARA events and the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967 and 1968. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2007, has since taken part in SVRA racing events, and was most recently accepted for participation in the 2023 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca. Finished in red with white and black stripes, the car is powered by a 327ci V8 topped with a Rochester mechanical fuel-injection unit. Equipment includes a Richmond T10 four-speed manual transmission, a 4. 11:1 Positraction differential, side-exit exhaust pipes, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, remote-reservoir shocks, 15″ Torq Thrust alloy wheels, a roll cage, a Recaro driver’s seat, a fire-suppression system, and redundant battery disconnect switches. The car is reported to have been one of 771 fuel-injected examples produced for the model year. This C2 race car is now offered with racing logbooks and a California title in the owner’s name. Daytona 24hr history, fresh and correct 327 Fuelie, from a racing family we have known for years. Always great cars. Fast and competitive.
