Description
An almost complete 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider type 750 'Passo Corto'.
This locally road registered Giulietta spider with VIN: AR 1495 02187, was produced on the 27th June 1957 and sold in Malta (Europe) on the 2nd July of the same year.
This is an unfinished restoration project which my father undertook but sadly passed away before completing it. We consider it to be about 95% complete with these jobs left to finish it:
- refinishing of the engine lid
- correction of paintwork from some dings/ scratches
- finishing of some chrome work (bumpers / windscreen surround)
- mounting of bumpers and finishing interior assembly
- finishing of rims
- new tyres
The project started off in 2014 as a spider in need of a ground up restoration, which was then expertly coachbuilt by Mr. Domenico Facchinello of Carrozzeria GF in Tezze sul Brenta, Italy. Everything was done 'a regola d'arte'. So much so, that it was a display centre piece in Padova Auto D'Epoca in 2017.
The interior fabrics and hood were completely redone by Renato Cicia, Treviso.
All of the restoration project from start to finish is extensively documented and the prospective buyer will be provided with a link to an online album containing no less than 500 images of the project.
The only item which I believe to be missing from this car is the chrome strip which runs the length of the dashboard. If there is something not pictured, please ask me and I will provide one. Two additional Fergat rims which have been blasted and primed will be provided with the sale, as are the unassembled parts shown. Viewing is highly recommended.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
This was my late father's most ambituous project ever. Sadly he never got to finish it, but at least managed to drive it once.
This is a private sale, open to sensible offers. International shipping is accepted. Buyer pays for transit. The most desirable of Giulietta spider series in normale format being the passo corto model. Benefit from a model which has been expertly coachbuilt back to its former glory by Carrozzeria GF who used to be sub-contracted by Ferrari in their golden age. Road worthy and legally registered. Some effort will bring this spider to its completed state to be thouroughly enjoyed! It would be an honour to see my father's spider in the right hands.
